 This month marks exactly 10 years since....

I moved to Munich, Germany. Soon I was able to pursue my work, my profession, my passion also in Germany namely connecting people and companies.

What I never expected is that the neighboring countries are so different from each other. My luggage was a good rucksack full of experience as a headhunter in the Netherlands, but what a difference Germany made.

I first gave myself 7 years to re-learn the profession and discover the culture. And then I opted for independence. MAZE - International has been around for just over 3 years and now is the time for me to share some Germany facts with you.

The first fact is that in Germany recycling, nachhaltigkeit, respect for the environment, environmental decongestion, lowering CO2 footprint are highly valued. Germany ranks No. 1 in Europe on the list of good recyclers. German households recycle more than 65% of their waste.

Whereas in the Netherlands the debate about deposits on cans and bottles was ongoing, in Germany it had long been taken for granted.

Companies that pursue and promote nachhaltigkeit are especially attractive to German candidates.
