Sonntag Ruhe, did you know that Sunday rest (much is closed on Sundays in Germany) is protected by law? Stores and supermarkets are generally closed.

You may do chores in your house or garden, for example, but there should be no disturbing noise to your neighbors, for example. So no drilling, hammering or knocking (or lawn mowing).

That leaves nothing left but to go to the biergarten together.
